Here’s How You Can Help the Thousand Oaks Mass Shooting Victims

Following the tragic events Wednesday night at the Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, where a gunman opened fire, killing 12 people, many people are feeling helpless, wondering how they can help the survivors and victim’s families.

Donate Funds:

A fund where people can donate to victims has been set up by the Ventura County Community Foundation in coordination with the city of Thousand Oaks. You can do so at www.vccr.org/donate.

GoFundMe has also set up a donation fund:

When tragic events like this happen, fundraising scams can be an issue, so be careful on who you donate to when you see these campaigns pop up.

Blood Donations:

If you’d rather donate blood instead of money, multiple blood drives have been set up across the area for people who want to line up to donate.
