CWA has received the results of the vote on ratification of the tentative agreement between our union and Envoy from BallotPoint, the independent company conducting the election. Passenger service agents have voted to ratify the tentative agreement. Representatives of our union will sign the agreement tomorrow, August 15, and wage increases will take effect on August 31. Ratification bonuses will appear in paychecks dated September 13.
Our new contract provides–for the first time–wage and benefits guarantees for the life of the contract, and it protects us from arbitrary changes in company policies by management. Specific processes, including union representation of all employees in disputes, will be put in place to protect our rights on the job. Copies of our new contract will be available shortly.
This agreement would not have been possible without the unity demonstrated by Envoy agents at every station across the country. You showed the company your unbreakable commitment to our fight against poverty wages at American, and it made a difference at the table.
Now it’s time to take the next steps toward building and strengthening our union at Envoy. In the coming weeks, local leaders will be in touch with agents about local structures and processes. In the meantime, if you have any questions, contact your local organizer or send an email message to info@envoyagents.org.
In unity,
Pat O’Neil, Chair, CWA Bargaining Committee
Marge Krueger, Director, CWA Airline Passenger Service
De Anna Davis, Envoy Passenger Service Agent, LCH
Chris Haight, Envoy Passenger Service Agent, TVC
James McKnight, Envoy Passenger Service Agent, MIA
Janet Padgett, Envoy Passenger Service Agent, LAX
