FIGHTING FOR ECONOMIC JUSTICE & DEMOCRACY

We need your help! CWA’s call center bill, the Protect Call Center Jobs Act, made it through the California state legislature and is now on Governor Newsom’s desk. He still hasn’t signed the bill into law and only has until Sunday.

This is urgent. The bill would work to keep jobs, including CWA members’ jobs, in California by making sure companies lose out on taxpayer-funded incentives if they send work to other countries.

The clock is ticking. We need all hands on deck to call the Governor’s office and ask him to sign the Protect Call Center Jobs Act before Sunday. It only takes a few minutes to call.

Call Governor Newsom at 1-877-782-8274

Tell the person who answers the phone:

“Hello, my name is _________ and I am a California citizen and union member. I’m calling to urge Governor Newsom to sign AB 1677, the Protect Call Center Jobs Act, into law. This bill is important to union members and workers across our state because it sends a clear message to large corporations to keep jobs in California or lose out on taxpayer-funded incentives. Thank you.”

CWA members worked hard to get this bill through the state legislature by speaking out at hearings, making calls, sending emails, and lobbying legislators. We can’t stop now!

Let’s get this legislation signed into law to protect good jobs in our state. Please call Governor Newsom now at 1-877-782-8274 Thank you for taking action!
