Last week, passenger service employees sent a powerful message to members of Congress to extend the Payroll Support Program in the CARES Act, and it made a difference. One week ago, sixteen Senators came out in support of PSP extension.
But there’s still no deal, so we must keep up the pressure on elected leaders to reach a deal that will save our jobs. It’s imperative that you make your voice heard this week, even if you’ve already written and called your Representative and/or Senators. Your voice can make a difference!

Passenger service agents and other aviation workers are on the front lines of an unprecedented crisis for the airline industry caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
After airline and other front line workers mobilized in March, Congress passed the CARES Act to keep employees on payroll with wages and benefits. Now the program is set to expire in October even though the crisis is far from over. If Congress doesn’t reach a deal, mass layoffs in the aviation industry are inevitable.
It will only take a few minutes. Call your Representative and your Senators and tell them to extend the Payroll Support Program in the CARES Act through March 2021 to protect aviation jobs.
In unity,
CWA Agents
