URGENT UPDATE: Tell Gov. Newsom to Protect Worker Safety

ACTIVIST ALERT

The bill I contacted you about last month that would limit what local governments can do to ensure that 5G wireless equipment is installed safely was passed by the California legislature and has been sent to Governor Newsom for his signature.

We can still stop this dangerous bill! Call Governor Newsom today to tell him to veto SB 556.

This legislation puts workers at risk, especially if the work is done with low-wage contractors who might cut corners to save money.

It is urgent that every CWA member in California contact the governor to ask him to veto SB 556. Tell him that the bill puts industry profits ahead of worker safety by limiting what local governments can do to ensure safety in the right-of-way.

Call Governor Newsom today at 888-701-5513. You will be connected to the governor’s constituent affairs office where they track veto requests and inform the governor.

Thank you!
