Sisters and Brothers,
Our CWA members at Frontier Communications in California have been faced with a lot of adversity. These workers faced stress and uncertainty as Frontier went through bankruptcy. They managed to continue working on the front lines and providing essential service day in and day out to the public during a pandemic.
We’re now bargaining a new contract with Frontier, which is no longer in bankruptcy, yet the new investors and CEO are pushing for cutbacks. They want to eliminate our agreement to route sales and service calls from California to California-based workers, ending their commitment to a 100% U.S. based workforce.
That means cutting union-represented jobs and using more contractors, which leads to poor quality service and safety issues.
We need to step up the pressure on Frontier and you can help.
First, sign the petition to tell Frontier CEO Nick Jeffery to keep California Jobs in California. Here’s the link: actionnetwork.org/petitions/keep-california-jobs-in-california
Next, share the petition with your friends and family members. You can forward this email or share the link on social media.
Signing the petition shows Nick Jeffery the size of our extended union family, and the strength of our solidarity. It also shows legislators that Californians care about this issue and motivates them to speak out in support of the Frontier workers.
In Unity,
Frank
